Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

PT has announced next week is new plan. No more dumb bells for deadifts I'm now going onto the bar! He tried me on the assisted pull ups but I didn't quite get it. I know I'd exercised 3 times in the previous 72 hours and my right shoulder was very painful mud week so I'm hoping I'm not too far away from them now.

You girls are so strong id love to be like you all eventually

Ok, tricky decision. My coach said I could do a gym session today- he agreed it might need to be light. Am now feeling relatively pronounced DOMS in upper body.

I'm answering my own question here but I suppose I should give the majorly achey areas very, very light weights - to go through movements - and concentrate on non-worked or less DOMSy muscles?

I want to go up to the Indoors while I have the chance. High jump should be ok I think, not sure about shot. Will have a further think on the journey....

I went - I drilled quite extensively, high jumped for about half an hour and then did stuff like step ups with light weights - I've blogged it.

DOMS is someway better at the moment.

Sorry Sharkie! Lol it doesn't scan well! Pre weights session I roller the area I am going to be used, stretch and then "activate" the muscles. Take a look at "redefining strength" Cori has a lot of very good stuff

Comedy DOMS episode today. eL Bee! asked me to switch on the rear light on the tandem, and I couldn't get either arm behind my back to reach the switch. It's normally easy.

DO you do! Of course. I am so dim - genuinely couldn't guess earlier.

Yeah I always do cardio and mobility/activation warm up when I'm with Marlon. I'm often a bit less conscientious on my own, but today (because I was also high jumping) I was pretty thorough.

Do you find rollering PRE session useful, then?

I'm a big convert to The Stick. I used it (not even that much but perhaps enough) all through the track season and got to the end injury free - and not even needing a sports massage. Although a free one would certainly be acceptable!

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
