Hi all my PT still has me deadlifting with dumbells atm to make sure my right glute pulls its weight 😉 however yesterday he said I'm close to moving to the bar he just wants make sure my form is good and I don't roll my arms/shoulderd too far forward. It sounds equally exciting and scary. I'm only on 30kg atm so nothing like you ladies. He also said I'm getting close to dropping the rings and moving to the pull up bar with assistance from bands. I'm up to 6kg over head press now as well. I'm surprised at just how much I'm enjoying the weights I'm doing (even though it's only 30 mins once a week) I have noticed a big change in my body tone and strength. I'm a long way behind you all and not sure I'd ever be where you all are but I am enjoying it still

Well done EB! It's great to be trying different things I also need to do more pull up training...
Had a niggly hamstring, so Thursday PT session was all upper body work - seriously need to get back on doing it regularly! Had a sports massage on Saturday (it was hysterical!) and whole right leg is a bit tighter than left, so hoping that's helped the hammy.
Did some gentle hip thrusters, squats and deadlifts this morning, so *hopefully* all ok - will be using hot and cold treatment again after a stretch and foam roll again later.

Ouch! Sympathies. I’ve got to resist temptation to go for three weight sessions in the first part of the week. Have a long staff meeting on Thursday and then off to Chester on Friday.
Can’t wait!!

OMG, FFS and other assorted expletives.
I am back from gym session with my coach.
I think I enjoyed it - apart from the agony of jogging for five minutes on the treadie (only 10mm but bloodyfuckinghell I don't do jogging!)
I am SO WEAK! Have lost loads of strength over the summer. Is this what happens to old ladies if they don't keep at it once a week?
Will blog my (pathetic) session so I can record the low baseline!
Assorted planks, and side planks and all 'that' stuff was fine.
least said about chin-ups the better!

Totally with you on the SO WEAK!, Sharkie! I haven't faced the bars and benches since last Sunday because it took me until yesterday to stop aching, but I think I may be on low weight, high(ish) rep sessions for a few weeks to avoid injury and too much neuromuscular fatigue. I'll lift again tomorrow, possibly early.

I'm trying to commit (that doesn't sound VERY committed does it?) to 2 gym sessions a week - and only two track. But it's hard, sprinting is so much nicer....
Still perhaps I can get out of some of the long rep sessions!
That's the attitude, Sharkie! NOT!
