Any recommendations for either websites or London shops which have a good selection of trimmings - looking especially for white lace or broderie anglaise.

I've made a plain white dress for daughter's high school graduation (it's a big thing here) and now we need to choose the embellishment.

PS - here's the dress so far. Strapless, boned bodice, I can't remember what the fabric is but it's quite heavy and drapes nicely. Also with an invisible zip, which I've never done before. My heart sank when I read that I'd need a special foot but it seemed to work OK without one.

Unfortunately it is too big for daughter to feel happy wearing it without worrying it will slip down so I need to remove the zip and do the whole thing again!

Trimming will be around the hem and top, and possibly over the shoulders too.

Needs a good press; I'm going to invest in a tailor's ham for that.

Looks great! White is quite unforgiving!
Could you redo the side seams or darts rather than the whole zip?

That was my hope, but because of the way it's constructed there's very little room to alter the back seams (they are seams rather than darts). And it's too bulky to do a simple tuck, with the main fabric plus boning plus lining.

Yes, I should have done a final fitting before doing the zip...
