I wouldn't worry about delays in completion crafters. My DD1's wedding quilt remains unfinished almost 5 years after the wedding.

I've never even started going-away blankets for any of my children. I hate modular knitting and sewing up, so they'd have to be knitted in one gigantic rectangle or, I suppose, in the round.

My daughter has been helped/encouraged to crochet her own blanket! Let's hope she get the grades...

The older boy's didn't request blankets but the twins did. T's is all in one piece which is why it's finished ahead of L's which I am currently joining - all 160 squares of it

That reminds me, I need to sew badges onto T's camp blanket (not handmade, needs to be very washable!)

I'm making a baby blanket for a neighbour - I hardly ever see her but met her & her four week old son the other day and can't resist making a little something. It's a pattern I've used loads of times but I seem to have lost the ability to count, I've had to restart it twice! And annoyingly enough it's now $5.99 on Rav; I'd copied into Word so I have it but there's another similar one from the same person which I didn't copy.

Also making progress with another blanket for a friend, a big version of one I did as a CAL but didn't really like, and making flower bunting to use up scraps of DK: using this pattern but bright colours and a simple centre, no faffing about with padding it out.
