do you mean an autocorrected me Pix ? :-)

I would say that its not an absolute beginners pattern. How confident are you with putting in zips ? if 'not very' then get yourself a zip foot for your machine and practice, and I'd also (speaking from experience here lol) not make your first one with precious fabric, as I made loads of mistakes first time. I think by about bag 3 I felt like I really knew what I was doing.

Here is a very good step-by-step sew-along with loads of pictures and explanations

quiltbarn.blogspot.co.uk

and I'd also very much recommend using this tip about zips as well *
crazymomquilts.blogspot.co.uk

hope they helps - give me a shout if you get stuck :-)

*learn from *my* mistakes as one of the zip pulls came off on my first bag and I had to wiggle it back on again with much swearing :-)

Oh and I'd also recommend a 1/4" seam foot for you machine as well if you have one (if not, you can stick some masking tape on your machine as a good guide

Also, as with in things in life, every now and then do something that scares you :-) You might not have the confidence to have a go at it at the start, but by then end of it you will have learned loads :-)

I've just had a conversation about yarns things with *the* Stephen West of Westknits.
I may have been a little tongue-tied.
I may also have bought yarn
:-)

Really enjoyed knitting this pattern

It’s supposed to be a dishcloth but it’s a little small I think and pretty!

Definitely make more

That's brilliant, Pix. Small enough to be a coaster?

I love my handknitted dishcloths :)

It’s bugger than that 15 stitches per segment so side plate size
Seen a star too I want to do!
May even get some coloured cotton!!
Great for mindless knitting as the pattern is so easy
