I've found a local crochet club so am hoping to learn in the new year.

In the meantime I've finished knitting Marigold's blanket, apart from the edging. I really dislike edging! I've brought down the bag of favourite clothes from the loft tho, and it's delightful to see her recognise clothes she loved from 10 years ago. Choosing the ones to use for the blanket will be a bit of a challenge

Fab socks :-)

I've just been sent a link to a facebook page for blankets for the homeless. They need 6 inch squares, knitted or crocheted, which can then be made into blankets.

Main fb page is here:-

facebook.com they have "pods" in various locations for collecting and making up the blankets. My friend has just set one up for the South Essex/East London area.

Love the stick-of-rock socks, Cyclops.

I didn't finish my *thing* last night after all. I was too tired to knit and had an early night instead.

Some FOs to declare for my next grandson who is due to be born tomorrow (fingers, toes etc all crossed; it's been a bumpy ride so far)

Full details of knits on Ravelry at https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Helegantknits, and sorry for the picture quality (red jumper matches his cousin's school uniform)

I've cast off my bamboo scarf but need to sew in the tails. I quite like it, but don't wear scarves so unless one of my girls claims it I'll probably end up donating it to a charity shop or a seasonal homeless appeal.
