The hand therapists encouraged me to knit and use my hand as closely as normal and within ouch limits while it was healing. The therapy didn't achieve much because of the constraints of the joints setting solid, but credit to them for trying, and I think I've adapted quite well. "The claw" doesn't stop me from knitting. With hindsight I probably didn't need to sell the piano either.

Love a bit of yarn bombing!

I decided to try making an amigurumi llama which was a kit in a magazine, in an effort to clear away a few projects before the end of the year.

It's reminded me why I don't like amigurumi when it involves making limbs by crocheting a tube with just six stitches. Very nearly impossible.

Soon I'll be back to mega-blankets for friends.
