Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Ah yes, I remember the mixed button line on the mittens. I do have (ahem) rather a lot of buttons, and I'm always delighted to find a use for them. For instance the 1960s buttons from my school uniform were recycled into a cardigan for my grandson. It makes my heart sing :-)

I wonder if my daughter would mind if I asked for the buttons back when she finally gets rid of the cardi...

My mum often used to take button off clothes when they were worn out or no longer fitted.
I remember some I chose for a cardi that had ladybirds on.

whoops I seem to have broken my yarn diet.

Well I needed yarn for dad's socks (and the nice DPNs fell into the basket to get free postage!) mapletreeyarns.co.uk have free delivery over £10 and the prices are great!

Then I needed DK yarn form Gnome's storm trooper hat and a baabal hat (both patterns in the drop box) so had to visit my friend's shop. She had been sorting stuff out from her classes and gave me some yarn too!

So now I need to hide more yarn!

I could call it therapy - it's cheaper than therapy too!

I gave lots of mixed colours of dk that are shouting to be a blanket but do I crochet squares or rows and if so what sort of rows? Or knit!

Just downloaded a basic glove pattern too as I bought tiny 2.5mm DPNs!

My sister has just made an Attic blanket in about a fortnight. I've been doing mine since August.
