Really lovely Wobbling! I have to remind myself every time how to do foundation double crochet, and still can't figure out how to join it neatly into a circle.

Fabulous work on here as usual.

I have been inspired by you lot and have knitted a sock :-) yes that is just one sock, but it is a bit small and the colour work isn't great so I didn't do the other one, I also didn't crochet the edge on the turn down. But considering it was my first sock and first time on colour work too I'm happy. I am currently knitting a stripy sock with some dk left over from a crochet blanket whilst I'm waiting for the right size needles for the sock yarn I have. I know that the dk isn't the best for socks, but I'm using it for practise and they will keep my feet warm whilst coaching at the gym club.

Now I'm after your advice. Could you recommend a suitable book for sock knitting.

Now I must try and work out how to put a picture here.

You're hard on yourself Berry, that's really nice. I'm not a knitter but my untrained eye can't see any glaring mistakes in the colour work.

That looks really lovely. It's a shame to waste all that work, make the other one!

Another vote to keep
As for books I like Sock Innovation by cookie a - there's some complex patterns as well as plain vanilla and a good section on sock techniques
