Anyone got any advice for my first overnighter? Ive bought a small tent that will fit in my kayak and we are going to find a campsite along the way. A company will be picking us up on the sunday night and transporting us back to the start point....
So any advice on good small kit that will fit in my Robson Waikiki that I will need?

Sorry Recoil, when I tour I paddle my open - this means very little in tge way of space restrictions - my normal lightwieght kit does the trick.

Just purchased some bouyancy bags and wedged them in the nose of the Green Piglet. They reach right down into the point and come up to just behind the footplate so I think they fit just fine. Should I rubber band or tie them in somehow?
(Yeh I know I could ask the canoe club coaches at the weekend, but you lot are here and massively convenient! )

I'd tie/bungy them in if possible.

Tie, don't bungy.

Probably, yes, unles your boat is posh and has eyelets.
Bungied inflatables can come loose and a waterlogged boat on bungy cord to the bouyancy isn't going to help much.:-0

The footplate looks like the only option. Cheers - back out to the boathouse (garage) to sort it
