Anyone else struggling to sleep at the moment?

I am not a great sleeper at the best of times, but am like a zombie at the moment, shattered during the day and crawling into bed at 21:00 to fall straight asleep, but waking at about 03:00 and laying awake for most of the rest of the night!

Anyone got any pearls of wisdom? Or want to start up a support thread so we can all be zombies together?

Can’t help with a remedy but I’m in the same boat. I usually sleep a little bit after the initial lying-awake-for-ages-worrying but only in very short bursts. Been like this since Monday I think although I’m not a great sleeper at the best of times.

Sorry to hear that 😞 it's frustrating isn't it? I get so mad at myself, I'm so tired, and yet can't sleep!

Yeah, I've been a bit the same - asleep at the usual time and then v. waking early. For me it's partly due to the earlier morning light at this time of year (I need some thicker curtains!), although that's hardly a problem at 3am. I'm sure the current situation is playing on my anxieties.

I have been wandering downstairs and reading some nonsense or other for a bit to try and reset myself. That usually works.

I will be thinking of you all at 3am! Thicker curtains certainly help Oranj, I've also been known to run at that time, although not at the moment when I can only go out once a day! I want that to be in the sunshine!

McG, that podcast sounds a little creepy, but I may well give it a try! 😂

Sympathies to you all. Same here - I just got up at 5:45am having been awake for ages. At least I am falling asleep fairly easily, just not for long enough.

Going to try and get more daylight today - in the garden. Though it is tipping it down with rain right now, so it will be daylight not sunlight!

There’s a channel on YouTube that has ‘sleep talkdowns’ which work to get me back to sleep but when they finish I wake up again! They do relax me though.

Oh bother. Link didn’t work. Search for The Honest Guys on YouTube.
