Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I love olives and cheese and knew it would be high for the tub.We have to weigh everything! Nuts is my downfall I portion them up or I could nibble the whole bag!
Since I have upped the protein which is jolly hard to do...strange combinations for meals I am less hungry.

I've toyed with logging as I can get obsessive

but I am fat!
So do you use the macros that MFP gives you or tweak?

did you use the calories they gave an "in active" or say you are active? and do you count exercise calories?
I've tried before not using any exercise calories but also heard only use those over 500 calories and always say you are inactive
and all exercise calorie estimates are wrong so ignore them!
I try to fuel sessions over 2hrs and I'm now thinking about recovery products over 2hrs too as my training is ramping up but I do need to lose!

I tweak - same macros as WP, but I've set it that my exercise cals (which I eat most of) to give me 60%carbs, 25% protein, 15% fat.

I'm set as completely sedentary, I borrow some of my running cals for rest days week rather than worry abou being spot on day-to-day, but do eat more of them around a long run and I only add strenuous gardening or "workouts", not general activity
And I'm still struggling to lose even lb a week :(

My base is 1100, running cals come from the Garmin and they're probably not far off.

I said I was inactive then add the exercise calories from Garmin or what ever gadget you have.
It is a difficult one for me personally I am aiming no matter what it says to only eat 1900 cals no matter what exercise I do.

It really is trial and error to find the number that works for you.I am still looking for the magic number.

If you are ramping training up you have to fuel for the long sessions without eating too much or under eat.It is such a fine line and what works for one does not work for another.
