Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

2lb is a great start. Well done. Like training, consistency beats yo-yo eating.

My strategy is: the more things you measure, the more motivational opportuntiies you have. I measure weight and BF% every day, producing a trailing average of my last 5 days (adjusted) weight. I measure my waist weekly and run a 10k time trial weekly. I also log my strava fitness and garmin produced vo2max (via runalyze).

With all of those, I'm making progress if any one of them improves even if others sometimes appear to be going the wrong way, temporarily I hope.

Fenland, I always have to remind myself that weight loss isn’t linear, your body has all sorts of tricks such as filling fat cells with water. Some swear by drinking 2-3L of water a day (Michael Mosley and low carb recommend this) to keep things moving. You will lose if you stick to it.

Personal downfalls: toast and lashings of butter, cheese with red wine, crisps with imperial stout. So for now, alcohol and bread have to be out which only leaves cheese which I can manage.

I love morrisons crusty tiger rolls. They're made in their bakery and there's no nutritional content so I emailed them to ask. 173 cal each. But they're worth it!

Lol at “no nutritional content” azx, thought you meant “junk calories” for a minute😂! But who cares if they taste good.
