Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have quite a few buffs, though very few have I purchased, maybe only one? For a while almost every race seemed to give them away, so picked them up that way.

Very rarely do I wear one on my head though, tend to just be wrapped around my right wrist as a sweat band of sorts.

It's a genuine comment HappyG(rrr), I've never had one, never seen one except in photos, and really don't have any use for one, except maybe to wipe my nose on :-)

In summer I have been known to soak a buff then wear it wet around my neck "to keep cool"

I did have a polar buff (runners world pirates) which was a fleece section attached to a buff
I lost that which was annoying - I went to the gym on my way home and think I dropped it there but it was never handed in

Wow Dio, I really thought they were a pretty universal thing. I need to bear stuff like this in mind, as I often think my world reality is everyone's when it definitely isn't. Thanks for the answer!

I think if I ran without a buff the top of my head would fall off. Can be substituted with a cap in hot weather but it's not quite the same. I like the ear coverage.

What else do you use buffs for? I have dozens.
I have a big collection, too. They have come in very handy as handkerchieves while I have had some kind or respiratory-tract infection for a couple of weeks. After all, people put knotted snot rags on their heads in the summer, so why not? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I never run without a buff, have an entire drawer full of them from races. Worn as a sweatband, as without it sweat drips into my eyes. One of the pleasures of being bald.

I also have a couple with neoprene peaks, which are great in high summer to cover the top of the head and the back of the neck.

Are you in the the Buff Club?

fetcheveryone.com/shop-preorder-buff.php

I've got original black, black and red, and maybe swirly (need to check). Just ordered rainbow.

You did come to this thread knowing this was about buffs, the simple tube shaped piece of versatile headgear. Not ahem, errm, you know, wink, wink?! :-O
