Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Muttley, that made me laugh.

Cackleberry, one of my West Highland Way buffs - dark green (2014?) (there is a new colour and date each year) is up in the Lomond Hills somewhere. I remember taking it out of a pack or pocket, wearing it, then intending to put it back in as it warmed up. But when I got home I didn't have it. Keep expecting to see it. It's been 6 years!

The other really important use is to give to someone if they are feeling the cold and have insufficient kit themselves - another WHW one (red 2012?) went to a club mate on a particularly cold, driving snow kind of day up in the Pentland hills. She said she'd return it. That was about 12 years ago, so I think that one's gone?!

Mark J - presume you are in the Antipodes? Good to hear from your about your Fetch buff tales. Hope trip to UK goes well. :-) G

I like my Buff beanies, not the knitted ones though. Although last week at the Brighton 10k I got too warm & ran with it in my hand.

Won a Banff Film Festival Buff recently, got loads about the place.

Cool Mark - is that the ferry between north and south islands (Nelson to Picton, in my memory, but might have that wrong?) Hoping to emigrate to NZ one day, but a bit further north, probably! :-) G

DT, most of mine are running but I do have one "Women in Farming" one. From a local small holder festival? Or possibly one I swapped with my wife because she preferred my pink one and I like her green one? :-) G

We're about two hours from Picton and the ferry across. I always thought I'd live in the North Island when we first came over. I honestly wouldn't live anywhere else now. It's a proper Goldie Locks zone, in every way. Feel free to keep in touch and pick our brains for any info etc on emigrating. Its so worth it. Been here 10 years now.

Years ago there was CalMac ferry called the Suilven on the Ullapool/ Stornoway route. It was notorious for going in rough seas.

I remember boarding it in Stornoway harbour and the gang plank was moving, waves were hitting the bow practically at the lighthouse 🤢

It ended up as a cattle boat on the Cook Strait and then worked in Fiji.

fetcheveryone.com/shop-preorder-buff.php

I've got original black, black and red, and maybe swirly (need to check). Just ordered rainbow.

You did come to this thread knowing this was about buffs, the simple tube shaped piece of versatile headgear. Not ahem, errm, you know, wink, wink?! :-O
