Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I went off at a tangent there, however HappyG(rrr) has spent time on CalMac ferries 😀

Mark J 🇳🇿 I spent one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable evenings of my life in Nelson. The next day I took the ferry from Picton to Wellington, got tomato ketchup on my jacket while eating eating some fries as we hit a wave. If I'd had a buff I could've used it as a napkin.

I'm happy to detour the thread to New Zealand chat. A most wonderful place.

I was clearly misremembering - the ferry is Picton to Wellington, isn't it? Don't know why I put Nelson in there. We probably didn't come through Nelson either, as we'd driven up from Kaikoura where we failed to go whale watching. This was on a driving tour up from Queenstown, via Wanaka, Fox Glacier or Franz Josef Glacier, can't remember, Hamner Springs etc. I remember the crossing to Wellington being fine, perfectly calm. Maybe we were lucky. Then we flew from Wellington back up to Auckland (bro in law Wellington, mother in law, sister in law et al in Auckland). Lovely trip.

But Nelson, is where we started looking recently. Abel Tasman park and all that loveliness? I haven't been there but my wife (Kiwi) said it's beautiful. We were originally looking to emigrate 10 years ago, and would have been needing to work, so Auckland or Wellington, but they are super expensive now to live. Soooo.... now we would be somewhere more rural, retired not working, except on hobbies like sailing and horse riding (we care both qualified instructors).

Will def keep in touch with you Mark Mark J 🇳🇿 thanks! (And Jenelopy is my other NZ pal in Fetch!)

Buffs, one of my favourites is from the Hillary Trail race which is west coast beaches north of Auckland. Fantastic event! :-) G

HappyG(rrr) Angel Tasman is stunning. We're an hour away. Ran 28k of it last month. Bloody hilly. We're waking the whole thing at the end of Jan, over 8 or 9 days. Beautiful spot. But I am very biased.

You should move over dinner rather than later and then you can where your buff in Bluff.

…It's a proper Goldie Locks zone…
People forget that at the end of the story (in some versions) she was discovered, ran screaming from the house, and got lost in the woods 😀

Mrs Snoot thinks I’ve an issue! I would disagree as there’s definitely less than a hundred in my collection. This is most but there’s a couple of club ones, some in both cars, some in a work bag and a running bag etc. definitely not a problem….

I've got original black, black and red, and maybe swirly (need to check). Just ordered rainbow.

You did come to this thread knowing this was about buffs, the simple tube shaped piece of versatile headgear. Not ahem, errm, you know, wink, wink?! :-O
