I took my plain black arm warmers to wear on a run if it got chilly - turned out to be compression socks. I looked a proper clot but my hands were warm hahahaha

They have been shipped already!!!
I will be using mine as protection from the sun, and perhaps midgies!, rather than for warmth I hope. Walking 26.2 miles from Glencoe to Fort William along the West Highland Way, we will be out for at least 8 hours and I seem to react to the sun much more lately so best be prepared!

I was thinking, "Nah, not for me," then DQ explained why I need sun sleeves. Summer outings tend to have me wondering whether to prioritise sunscreen or Jungle Formula.

I thought I had all the kit I need but now I think I need some sun sleeves for the summer. Do they really make your arms feel cooler and not hotter?

Lol give us pretty things and we’re sorted!
I had them on as it was chilly first thing. It got warm my arms didn’t but I like a bit of sun so I took them off. It will be interesting to see how cool they keep you if we ever get any hot weather.
Good point re midgies too.

I don't think I could wear arm warmers/sun sleeves - even in the winter, I tend to roll my sleeves up after a while unless it's really wet and yucky
You used to be able to buy sun cream that had jungle formula insect repellant in it - I haven't bought any since I stopped going to Singapore for work, however long ago that was, though.
- but thanks for the reminder to put suncream into my pack for long runs, I need to reapply it to my face if I'm going to avoid sunburnt nose again - if the sun ever shows itself again that is.
I bought a really thin, white cap to see if I could run wearing one, seemed a sensible thing to do. Not sure how to keep it on my head though.
