It wasn't so bad today, I ran & MTB'd. Probably just ageing pains. Will warm up more before any future Fly attempts though.

After a promising start last month, my local pool has cut down the number of sessions they offer. Aside from weekends, they only have two lane swimming sessions this week which are outside normal working hours. It must be more convenient for them, but it's tricky if you're at work 9-to-5.

3 sessions booked for this week.
16 miles logged since we were allowed back into the pools. My coach is providing some great swim sets and I`ve managed to get my average time per 100 yd down to 1.45.
Now need to work on efficiency and reducing strike rate which is about 24 spm. Oh and endurance........lock down has so much to answer for.......

Yet another not so good swim this morning, my new goggles constantly leak no matter how I adjust them.

Good swim today with some good times for me showing that speed is beginning to return
400m 7:30 300m 5:49 200m 3:39 100m 1:44 4*50m - between 42 and 45 s
Have to say I'm loving the covid enforced booking system meaning I can pick quieter slots and know there won't just be 20 extra people just turn up.
Still got the heads-up breaststroker change lane on me half way through a sprint but the lifeguard shifted her fairly quickly which was a miracle. Why is it almost always ladies that do this and men that do the "I'm going to keep going until I finish my swim regardless of traffic" thing?
I also find myself amused at the people that turn up with all the swim toys and don't actually swim an unassisted length for the whole of their swim. As I understand it the whole point of Pull Buoys, kickboards, etc. is to isolate part of your stroke to work on and then reincorporate it back into your stroke and to use them for the whole of a session misses the point. I'm no swim coach (or more than a deeply average swimmer) but maybe I am missing something there myself.
