Little bit poignant. Last run of my curtailed Chamonix season before a tactical withdrawal tomorrow. Beautiful, warm sunny day; very little snow/ice/slush left on the trails.

Just a few miles to get out. Couldn't really get going today but happy to get moving.

5k this morning. Quiet route and kept my distance if anyone nearby. Must be a delay with the garmin to fetch pidgeons today

Slightly surprised to see the local countryside alliance types out shooting pheasants this morning while I was out running. Presumably exercise rather than essential work.

Perhaps they would claim they were engaged in food production and it was essential work. Several of them, but obviously in a well spread-out line.

Actually, it seems they were shooting deer, and the pheasants (out of season) simply flew away and were not actually being shot at.
