It has got me out doing some slightly longer runs though, so I can have a baseline to work from. That part of it is working just fine!

I now need to pull my finger out and go for gold :-) Maybe next week.

I would vote for keeping the same format but reset back to 1,000 at the beginning of a month. Perhaps giving a badge to either the top punter or perhaps the top 3 each month. Personally I think the GPS issue adds some unpredictability, which adds an element of risk to the betting even though I lost my £s a few weeks back in a 100% bet due to GPS but if we reset monthly then there is always another chance.

Just heading out for a little trial run at 10k. Aiming for about 8:10/mi, and my benchmark is 9:06/mi, so if everything holds together, it should be easy money.
