Eynsham the Red Knows Rain Dear
My O levels are numbers, way before the letters came in.
My O Levels grades were letters Chrisity and we’re a similar age I think. The grading labelling I think depended on which exam board was sat. In Bristol we had London board exams.

I watched the first of this series last night, and felt quite lost as it was a long while since I read the books. By the end I think I was beginning to get a grip on the story.

Which exam board? Blimey I'd have to check.

I think this series will have an awful lot of chopping and changing compared to a straight read of the book, which was pretty dull in places. As well as reminders.

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
My wife hasn't read books and couldn't remember end of season 2 and was v lost. Multi worlds is inherently confusing. But fascinating. :-) G

I'm soooo young (1988, first year of GCSEs)

The first were actually in 87 when they trialled English before switching them all in 88. I was one of the few that did CSE’s, O’ levels and GCSE’s in the same year.

I'm not too impressed with the first three in the series. DK's acting feels very wooden and contrived.

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
I think DK is ace. She's playing being drugged, trapped by her mother, missing her best friends, abandoned by her father, with no hope of escape. I think she's allowed to look a bit like a rabbit in the headlights! And Will P has improved. MacAvoy is hamming it up brilliantly. Ruth Wilson continues to be sinister, even in sign language. The angels are interesting- powerful, but vulnerable too.

I'm only on Ep 3. Looking forward to catching up a bit! :-) G

I'm watching the series on BBC1 and it was only up to episode 2 last night. Are you watching it elsewhere ahead of the BBC?
I am enjoying the series so far, so I had better stop watching this thread so it doesn't spoil it for me for the rest of the series.
