A regular summer's day in Crosby: extensive blue sky, feathery cloud, light breeze off the sea. 21 deg C.

Almost always tends to be a tad cooler on the coast. Humidity: 50% now, rising to 80% by 9 tonight.

I bought blinds for the front and back doors to keep some of the heat out. Even though they're cheap IKEA ones they're quite effective. Just as well as it's going to be 36 on Saturday :-(

Oh LAWKS, I've got an mid day onwards athletics meet on Saturday in NE London. It will be warm. Good job I don't have to run further than 100m, but there's a lot of standing around in the field events. Think I will take a parasol! :-)

Looks like great weather for camping this weekend on the beach, when you book it in advance you never know. Lots of dips in the sea are predicted!

well it hasnt arrived yet but im preparing the house by keeping all the windows and doors and curtains closed during the daytime to retain as much of this cooler air as possible.
