Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ours has been on but that was mainly to test it all as OH has replaced a lot of the pipes in the loft and we had a new rad fitted.

All working OK but not put on yet. Am very jealous of the log burners, miss ours

Wise man your dad Phil!

I'm still in denial of the season, three layers on though!

Just put mine on. I have Economy 7 heating so keeps an even temperature 24/7. I get up early to run and like it to be warm when I get out of bed.

Just watched the weather forecast and it's supposed to be warming up over the next few days, but I can't wait for that.

Ours has started coming on as the temperature has dropped. I haven’t put on the heater in my office yet…

It has been on and off since Saturday. My wife feels the cold whereas it doesn't bother me. Her childhood home had central heating and mine didn't. As my dad would say, "If you feel cold, put a jumper on."

Mine Dad was similar and turned the council down when they wanted to fit central heating. In fact the la’al window in the toilet stayed open all year 🥶

It's still 22.5°C in my flat so no heating needed yet. Let's see how long living under the roof helps me to stay warm.

Ours flicked on this morning, good old thermostat. Sky cleared and temp dropped overnight. I heard it 5.30 this morning, we get up at 6!

The heating is off with thermostat set to 7* and the bathroom radiator has been on for hours so we put the heating on to see if everything else is ok. Downstairs radiators remained cold. Mr GM has investigated in the loft and the gateway valve isn’t working. British Gas are visiting on Saturday to fix it. The heating is off again now.

[I'd recommend percussive maintenance for that GM]
