Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Happy jab day! When’s yours?

I'm going for my 2nd jab later this morning 😀

Strange that we are all excited and happy to be going for injections now.

Still no sign of the 12 to 8 week reduction for 2nd jab here. All seems very dependent on where you live.

Muster Tea, we didn’t wait to be contacted, just went on the NHS site, manage appointment, cancelled 12 week one and offered choice if new dates. Might be different outside England though?

Does that apply to only over 50s? My er, big birthday is 2 weeks on Monday so guess I might not be able to bring my 2nd jab forward yet.

I thought the advice was that if your 2nd jab was booked after 25th May (assuming 12ish weeks since first jab) then you could cancel 2nd jab and rebook an earlier appointment. I don't know if that applies to certain age groups or not.

Had my 2nd jab today, felt it slightly today. Guy that did the injection said if I don't feel great in the morning to eat a banana. Strange advice not sure that's bona fide NHS guidelines.
