Can I join in too? I did a Hadd last winter which went well and got me a 5k PB in the Spring, but I have targets for next year which need a solid aerobic foundation to train from.

Definitely teapothouse, we've got a nice little group forming for the winter.
I'll give it a few more days and then list parricipants to date.
I might even see if I can work out how to set up a training group? (Steady there Brunski, you're still not sure what the buddy function does 😂)

Cheers! Might do a Hadd test next week then, since I am ready to start some sub LT runs after an initial volume build up, though already made some efficiency gains I think.

Jeez TPH, you have some very impressive times for someone who has only run since 2015

Why thanks DTG. Shucks - yours are pretty good too! After a proper first season of road running and pushing I am looking forward to slow running all winter and some muddy hills 🤓

Ptb - 😂😂 It may have been you that was discussing it. Sure the document says PB but agree with your comments, it's a matter of a couple of seconds per mile for me at the moment from current to PB!

Well I did my first sub-LT run of the current training block today (after 4 weeks slow volume). It feels very fast after all the slow stuff and too hard initially on the run but of course when you get into it it's ok (because it's sub-LT of course). Anyway for the records it was 10k and done in about 45:45 at around 150-155bpm (I was aiming for around 150 but one k was 155, and the rest were 150-154, apart from the first after warm up which was 144). So the moment my 'gentle' sub-LT pace is 4:35/k. I say gentle since this is about 80% MHR so I may dial it up to 155+ in due course.

Good work tph, that's a very decent pace to be starting on the sub-LT runs.
Looking forward to seeing the progress of everyone 👍

Well I think it's about 180- 183 but lately I dunno whether it might be getting less, as I don't see near that a lot - apart from some crazy Garmin spikes which usually appear at totally stupid times so it's obviously wrong. I am much more confident on my anaerobic threshold which is 165 ish. Given that you have a similar level of youthfulness, what is yours?
