I did my 16 miles yesterday and will do a few miles tomorrow. Hope not to be blown away! Some races cancelled for tomorrow, including Mad Dog 10k in Southport.

Village Bakery Half at Wrexham for me at the weekend (assuming no cancellations due to weather - they've already had to re-route the course due to flooding!) so no real issues with motivation to get there and run, unlike last weekend where I completely wimped out of my 17 miler on Sunday. Though I did make up for it by running the 17 miler on Monday night instead. I always suspected winter training for a spring marathon would be harder than summer training for an autumn one! Early mornings or late nights are far less appealing at this time of year than in the balmy days of August!

It’s the hardest part of spring marathons larkim, I’m hoping weather will move quickly for Wrexham or at least not too much wind!

Good luck for your race larkim and hope you survive the wind jennywren. I'm not looking forward to the weekend long run either, there's an amber weather warning for rain where I live in Devon all weekend. I had a practice run (I think 'dry run' wouldn't be the right words to use) this morning in torrential rain!

Might move my 20 miler to Monday. Jennywren, if you can, journey 18 miles southwest then run back with the wind behind you. I did this last Sunday and it worked well.

Forecast isn’t quite as bad now so I may be ok, just wet! I’ve planned a circular route with an out and back in the middle to make it longer. It’s bound to be behind me at some point!

It does look like it's forecasting to be a little less unpleasant. Not perfect weather, but safely runnable. Hope all long runs go well this weekend!

supposed to be racing saturday then 23 miles/ 3 hours time on feet sunday. Saturday looks slightly less bad than sunday weather wise so think I will scratch from race and do my long run then. Gutted to be missing Glasgow Uni 5 miler, but all about Manchester, has to be the focus.
