Number 9118. lets hope I can run it quicker than that in mins. Nelly I did not spot any obvious errors. Did not run this last year and so happy to have new loop at beginning. Not checked the course till today

Spanners, there's also a change in the loop around Altrincham because of the ongoing/ever lasting resurfacing of Stamford New Road, so we loop around the Ice Rink and then a loop past Wellington school on the way out of Altrincham.

Cheers nelly would not have spotted that. You are not wrong the guys doing the road works must be paid by hour. Bit of a shame as I like the loop round top of town but wont be crying about it.

My last long run of the campaign today, felt good getting it out of the was. 23.8 miles in 2:37:11. Just a few speed sessions to do now and coast all the way.

343 for me. Have all the Scottish runners got numbers in the 300s??? Dunno how they've managed to order it but the 5 of us from my training group are all within 9 numbers of each other

I'm pretty sure they organised the numbers at last years half marathon by our address. Presumably they've done the same again for the marathon as well, hence the other 4 people between your training group SM6 will all also live in Falkirk.

My club (Chorlton Runners) and Manchester Front Runners are marshalling the first 5 miles of the course. I'll look out for Fetchies, although I'm guessing most of you will be in club vests. Good luck to you all anyway. Hope the weather is kind and the bag drop is organised!

Agree with the address thing, a club-mate who entered very much later than me is an adjacent number. Unlikely to finish adjacent though, he's substantially quicker (though hasn't run a road marathon before, maybe he'll blow up  ).
