Jono.
So to go back a bit, what happens when a lot of runners complain the course is too long (26.41 on my Garmin this year)?
concerning last years marathon - I'm not taking last years time down or my pb, I'm not going to destroy my medal and I'm going to wear my Tech T again, not for the sake of a couple of hundred yards.
My time would have been 3.51 something, I'd have still pb'd - I refuse to hang my head in shame.
well done to your sister Baz
I continue to try and improve and got a pb at this years Liverpools Half (1.42) unless anyone wants to remeasure the course around sefton park and tell me its short as well! (13.08 on my garmin)

J, I'd say it probably depends on a) who they complain to and b) by how much it is long?
If people complain about to 26.3-26.4 I suspect they'd get pointed in the direction of the various articles that describe why GPS will normally be long.
I'm much the same about my 2014 & 2015 times.
When I looked yesterday I noticed all three races were still listed on Fetch as a PB-course so presumably nobody has reported it to Fetch to change it. Which would be petty, but I know of one lady who lost her Club record within a few hours because the previous holder complained to the club!

Serious question for Old Crock re measuring given that I didn't appreciate the length you go to ensure accuracy - who calibrates your 50m steel tape?

Just watched the C4 highlights on catch-up - rather bittersweet, gave a lovely flavour of the event and the atmosphere of the race itself
