Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well two days after my last post i fell of my bike and double fractured my elbow, effectively ending my 2024 golf season, which was probably no bad thing :-)

However, i'm off to Wentworth on Thursday, so keep an eye for a devilishly handsome young man and i'll be the old fart next to him.

Also, we might be going to Kent for our trip next year, though i'm not sure the budget or my ability warrants the big three, we'll see.

Hope it's all going well for you all, lovely weather at the moment if you can get out.

Great day at Wentworth today, saw some great golf, some mediocre golf and some big houses.

Also saw a fetch legend…

I've only played once this year and that was a few months ago. Managed to get to the driving range today though and have 9 holes planned on Sunday. Leaving it a bit late for this season but hopefully a bit of range work over the winter and I might get going again next year.

Although I don't enjoy playing golf in the cold, I'm enjoying a good run of form. I am sure part of it is down to the fact that the winter comps are 9 holes and I like using a mat. In the last 4 comps I've scored either 18 or 19 points and had a first, 2 x second, and a fourth.

Well done XB. I tend to not do very well off mats!

Nice XB, are you still getting out regularly Nick? I think your course drains quite well, doesn't it?

My clubs are in hibernation, though a trip to the range is a possibility over the holiday period.

Looking forward to getting back out there in some warmer weather

Hi Lammo,
No, they're quite quick to close the course if there's been a lot of rain.
