Played a social round yesterday and played the best for a long time. 21 points on the front nine and parred the first three holes.
Was thinking I should put the card in when the thunder and lightning started. The siren sounded as we finished the 12th and we had to go in.

Nice going Nick, shame you had to curtail the round before you finished strongly.
I played this morning, a social round, very enjoyable and i played exactly to my handicap, and gotten trounced by one of my mates who scored 41 points.
Looking forward to next time alredy

MA. My mixed foursomes matchplay "Bobby Prior Trophy" second-round match was played on Saturday.
(I had to look up what the format was called, it's quite fun) Foursomes (also known as Alternate Shot) is a form of play involving partners (in either match play or stroke play) where two partners compete as a side by playing one ball in alternating order on each hole.
It was a frustrating round as there was a 4-ball in front of us that didn't let us through despite the fact we were clearly waiting for them a lot of the time.
It didn't help that I was on a time constraint to get to Iron Maiden that evening and we couldn't play any earlier because I was performing at the black cherry fair on the Saturday.
Anyway, we were one down on 16, and I put my drive deep into the trees. Lost that hole. Tied 17, lost 2&1.
We didn't play well enough to win, so that's it for playing with my new friend Jennifer.
Tonight is the third round of the all-members knockout. I'm giving Thelma 7 strokes.

A bit about my golf
I'm doing quite well for games at the moment. As well as the Sunday comps and the monthly senior medals there's also the senior friendlies against local clubs. I'm also in the senior singles and doubles knockout.
My handicap came down last night to 22.7 (from 23.2) after yesterday's 38 points. I am a member at Stonyhurst Park GC.
I've got two inter club fixtures this week and it's Captain's Day on Sunday.
