Dibble
Don't get to as many gigs as I used to, but enjoyed Public Service Broadcasting at the Royal Albert Hall earlier in the month. As a long time Roxy Music fan, was great to see Andy Mackay with Phil Manzanera this week. The main event was his recent 3Psalms release but there were also a number of old Roxy songs done orchestrally (some worked, others didn't). Anyone lucky enough to get tickets for IDLES next year? (we didn't).

I've got three spares for Camden on Saturday 6th April Dibble if you want them face value. Chief is a massive fan bit I'm still not understanding all the fuss.I think they are OK.

My wife is a huge Roxy fan.

HowFar?
I've got the High Kings in Enniskillen in December. Then Chvrches and Razorlight on consecutive nights in Belfast in February. I'd like to go to Scala and Kolacny Brothers in Dublin next year, but it's a Friday night and I can't be sure of getting the bus from here in time to go. Foo Fighters are on in Belfast in the summer, which is a bit tempting.

Busy few weeks on the gig front. Went to Comunion of Rock a small, 2 day, indoor festival a few weeks back. Saw the Quireboys last Saturday. Got the Wildhearts on Monday, it’s the 25th anniversary of Earth vs The Wildhearts so that should be a blast. Got 2 Wolfsbane gigs in mid/late December and then Florence Black towards the end of December.

Booked for next year are Skid Row in January and Stonedeaf festival in August. Currently deciding whether to go for the whole weekend or just the Sunday at Steelhouse festival. I want to see Crobot who are on Saturday, but my wife wants to see Living Colour who are on Sunday.

My youngest went and stayed with a pal at Nottingham Uni the other week so he could see Idles.

I'd got to Scala with you HF! And Foos are doing Bella next summer, which I'm tempted by. Booked tickets for Bill Bailey in Dundee last night, but so far that's all I have planned for next year.

So far.

Mrs P with some friends are going to Pete Tong Ibiza Classics performed by a 65 piece orchestra at the O2 on Saturday. Different!

I've seen Gorillaz, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Morrissey and went to a the final day of the Bluedot festival headlined by the Chemical Brothers in the past year. I'm always on the look out for a band or artist I like to watch live.

Old Mum reminded me I wanted to book tickets for Bill Bailey and I just checked but a) the tickets are a fortune and b) all the venues he's playing near here are big arena style places. I'd prefer a slightly smaller venue for comedy.
