Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Loved MGMT a few years back when I saw them and also liked Pete and the pirates and the subsequent group, Teleman. Honeyblood probably the most disappointed I've been in the last couple of years. Biggest let down ever for me was The Cure at Leeds.

McGoohan, completely agree about that engagement thing. I went to see Of Monsters and Men whose album I loved. But they didn’t give anything else. Felt really robotic.

Whereas I’ve seen Reverend and the Makers a few times. Not a massive fan of theirs at all, but they’re brilliant live. Feels like a real event.

Dolly Parton was on another level though. It was part stand up comedy routine, part self biography, part gig. It was the most expensive ticket I’ve ever bought (£85) but worth every penny!

I'd want a babysitter and a kennel thrown in for £85.

I almost got to see Reverend and the Makers at the BST Festival in Hyde Park but they'd put em on in this pokey stage - the whole place was supposed to look like a village green type thing - and before they even came on stage, their fans fell through the floor. Their show was cancelled and so was Graham Coxon's who was supposed to come on after em.

They were both clearly acts that were much too popular for such a shit stage.

We're going to see Miles Kane next week... I have sensitive ears... Will I need earplugs?

It's cool if the set is as the album, but I have been to see acts who rock it up for live and it kills me (wuss)
