Just to put it all in context I also saw a couple of Brass bands in October down a local pub.

Frank Turner always has a decent support.
I can recommend Larry and His Flask, The Flogging Mollys, Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Beans on toast and Will Varley.
Seen all of them at different Frank Turner gigs

I met the main man from Flogging Molly in a pub in Hammersmith when he was with Fastway, he looked very different to the way he does now!

Yes GCwenn, I've discovered loads of great bands through Frank. The ones you named, plus Skinny Lister, Felix Hagan, Tim Barry, the absolutely mental KooKoo Kangaroo, The homeless gospel choir and I went to Germany a couple of weeks ago to see Frank just because Pup were supporting him and I love them.
Going to gigs in my teens and twenties I never used to watch the support, now most of the bands I watch are acts I have discovered supporting other bands.

I forgot Ducking Punches on Norwich from my December list also.
Some great comments on here and good to see what people are watching.

The people heckling the support at Interpol were a disgrace BTW - although completely wasted. Actually she was alright. Nilufar Yanya.

And yes Fitz, I tend to do smaller bands and venues now, that way I get to see lots more bands because of the low cost and I find the bigger the band and venue the bigger the dickhead count. Especially when this spreads to 40/50's blokes who have been on the piss all night.
And I refuse to go and watch Peter Hook, he's been part of two great bands but I think he's a massive twat and he charges about £30 for him to do a tribute show.

WS - how was Killing Joke? I've seen them a few times but was unable to get to their London gig this month. I thought about going up to Cambridge but £££!!!
