Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've seen, amongst others, Teenage Fanclub, The Smiths, Simple Minds and My Bloody Valentine at Barrowland. Tremendous venue. The floor slopes down from the back to the stage, only slightly, but it adds something.

King Tut's amongst others, The Bluetones, Therapy?, and Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.

I've been to neither venue nearly enough times.

I've been to Barrowlands maybe about 20 times, (Arcade Fire, Nick Cave, Wilco, Mercury Rev, LCD Sounsystem) and King Tut's A LOT more times than that (Felice Bros, Rev & the Makers, Lightspeed Champion, Jonathan Richman, Benjamin Booker, Alabama Shakes) both great venues but if pressed I'd have to say I prefer King Tut's. I like smaller venues ... of which there are no shortage in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Can't flippin' wait to get back to it all !

Dvorak, at least the sticky beer floor at the Barrowlands helps a bit with not sliding down the slope 😀

Just booked Glass animals for May. Not convinced it will go ahead but it's all the teenager wanted for his birthday. Fingers crossed.

Managed to get Doves at Leeds Wardrobe. Also got Porridge Radio, October Drift, Grace Petrie, idles and Fontaines DC. Hopefully some of them will go ahead.

Had an email from O2 Academy Kentish Town - Einsturzende Neubaten moved from 30 Sept 2020 to 9 Sept 2021. Quite impressive: a whole year. Still awaiting a new date on Saint Motel, already moved once from April to Sept.
