I have been to King Tut’s once. They have the names of bands that have performed there on the stairs as you go up. It’s another venue I would love to go back to.
I got an email over the weekend that the Paul Heaton gig in Belfast has been postponed again, which I am happy about. It’s now due to be on a Saturday in April 2021.

It was initially pushed back to November, I think, but then this latest email arrived moving it to April.

That's great as we couldn't make the rescheduled autumn date.

I was the same, but didn’t go for the refund straight away, in the hope that it would get pushed back again.

Three years ago today I was in Croke Park Dublin watching U2 on the Joshua Tree anniversary tour. I've just watched some very bouncy video clips and it's brought it all back to me. What an amazing night that was.
Don't care that they're not cool, not your taste in music. They're my band and we have so much history that no one else makes me feel like they do when I see them live.

I saw them years ago in Sheffield. An amazing life group and Bono has an incredible voice. Mind you, the support was Elbow and I was ready to slit my wrists at the end of their set!!!!

Aaah, U2.
I saw their "Longest Day" gig at MK Bowl in 1985, supported by REM, Ramones, Billy Bragg, Spear of Destiny and Faith Brothers (catchphrase: "Have faith, brothers"). It peeed down all day and by the time we got back to Euston there were no trains home so we bedded down on the concourse for the night before being gently brought awake by the soft tapping of a policeman's steel toecap.
I queued all night outside Earl's Court to get tickets for the Achtung Baby / Zoo TV showin 1992, which was properly amazing and one of my all-time fave gigs.
Then we fell out over three gigs where the tickets were stupid money for really poor seats: Wembley Stadium 1997, Twickenham 2005, O2 2015. I swore never again after that lot.
I still love The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby and Zooropa although my first purchase was War.
