That’s really sad, Linda. Smokebelch II was as good a track as anything else around at the time.

Two nights, two gigs, me and Hendo together in the pit, at station a total bromance.

The Murder Capital tonight were immense. One of my favourite gigs. Top guys.

First time at the Barrowlands in over 20 years for me tonight. Supergrass were great fun, and I seem to have recorded about 10,000 steps while pogoing down the front.

Supergrass would be a great band to see live 10-15 singles that a casual fan of that era would bop along too, and lots of energy in the performance. I enjoyed Kaiser Chiefs and Stereophonics at a festival for the same reason...

Good timing for the above two posts. Murder Capital in Sheffield tonight and Supergrass in Leeds next week. Tonight will be my 25th gig of my attempt to do 50 in my 50th year. I’m only 5 months in so I currently have a month in the bank but already have 4 lined up for March.

Took daughter to see Palaye Royale in Shepherd's Bush last night.
Downstairs was sold out so it was my first ever gig where I had a seat.

Support from Counterfeit, which I quite enjoyed. Worth checking out on Spotify.
Palaye Royale were OK as well, seeing as I have never heard any of their stuff before.
Bit punkish, bit heavy. Lots of guitar solos and jumping around.

I missed being down the front...

Most recent gig was Gentlemen's Dub Club at Electric Ballroom in Camden. I was unfamiliar with their stuff but they were recommended along the lines of "If you like Dreadzone (which I do), then you'll like...

Odd. Basically reggae played *by* a bunch of white people who looked like recruitment consultants, playing *to* a bunch of white people who looked like recruitment consultants. The first twenty minutes or so were very standard roots reggae but once they started to let themselves go a bit they were really quite good. Sound mix let down though by a distinct lack of BASS!

Not sure I'd rush out to see them again, but a perfectly serviceable good-times act for a festival or as part of an all-dayer.
