Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wow. We've all been busy. No posts for three months. Eek. How are we all?

So ibhave a tmi question. I have a teeny scar from a tear having no.2 and when I do a long run it gets aggravated. I think it's the heat? Sweat? Sorry. I did say it was tmi. Anyone had similar? I tried running with a panty liner (what a ridiculous word) and Vaseline.

Hm...the only thing I occasionally get is like a sharp pain on the side of my bits, like a little spasm when I run but having spoken to other female runners it's meant to be quite common after kids and to do with nerve endings and not anything to worry about. Or that is what I am choosing to believe anyway. Sorry can not help but sounds like a real nuisance xx

Treacle
Hello everyone. Does it count as getting fit again post-pregnancy if said pregnancy was nearly 5 years ago...

Anyway, am trying to get back to being a fit Treacle rather than a lump of lard Treacle!

Katypie - sorry I can't help - suspect it will heal in time though, as I could feel my c section scar pulling for at least 18 months afterwards. No, thats no much help is it!!

Of course it does Treacle!

Hope it clears up soon KP, no magic tips I'm afraid.

My bits still go numb when I run hard or increase my mileage :-O

Yes it has been very quiet in here, and I know that our Katypie has been putting in some sensational performances that she's keeping very quiet about! :-)

I had difficult month with a nasty cold then lots of busyness returning to work and organising Oliver's first birthday party. I was in really good shape and about to have a go at a half pb but then had to drop out with the cold. I feel that I'm almost back to where I was back then now, and life has settled back into a bit of a routine again so hopefully I will be able to pick up the training again too and crack back on with some races.

My running has been ok but no PB performances. Hubby's shifts mean that I miss a lot of my club sessions snd although I can motivate myself solo, it's not always logistically possible with the kids and with childminding :-(

Me??? Well, you know. i took 5 minutes off my Half marathon time to get 1.40.25 :-) Its so hard mummyV

I have to say I am finding the 2 kids and working full time really hard. I miss the wee fella but I find that it's actually number 1 that needs more attention now he's at school. I'm not doing the school run as he's at breakfast club and after school so I am completely out the loop with the mum network and I worry that by default the wee man is left out, we don't make playdates and so on (we've no time tbh). He does beavers, swimming and football out side of school but even trying to work around that is a mare. I won't even talk about the state of my house and laundry pile. Is this normal? The wee man has yet to sleep through a night and I'm doing a totally new job. What I was doing committing to a marathon I do not know. In one hand it was foolish and in the other it keeps me sane.

Keep being fab ladies. It's hard bloody work. xxx

wow, that's some PB Katypie, awesome!!!! looks like you are mara fit and I am hoping that the family life will settle as they get bigger (that's what I tell myself also). They do need attention when at school, for sure and I think kids parties are the best way to get to know more parents/kids and arrange more play if you can find some time for it xx

Well that was it, there was a party today and he wasn't asked - we'd asked the child to his party. I'm hoping it's because it's a Friday and the mum assumed I was working :(
