sounds like a very good plan Krissie, it's not always about PB's......having said that I ran my second fastest ever 10k which made me very happy

Yay, well done on the 10k Not saying I would complain if pb's were to come along, I just plan to be a lot more chilled about it all

Had to dns the blackrock cause my baby came down with chickenpox that morning He is breastfed and I had been planning to skip a feed the night of the race but with him not well i didn't really feel i could leave him without a feed or leave my husband without means to feed him (silly wee boy will not take milk from a bottle or cup!!).
Not sure what to do now about running, whether to target any races or just try to keep getting out... feeling a bit rudderless...

Yes I'm PB hungry yet the last year is the first year ever when I have actually done races just for "fun", without a garmin or running with friends. It's lovely

Sorry to hear that Lyns.
I did a tri at the weekend. Sprint distance swim and run but a shorter cycle (14.5km). I took it fairly easy and did it in 1.31 😄
Today I did my second open water swim 😄 900m in a man made lake nice and warm.

Sorry you had to miss your race Lyns Well done on the tri KP, very awesome to be doing tri's so soon
I am craving more swimming but it takes more time out the house than Master boob addict is happy with Missing doing yoga/pilates too but they are out for the same reason. Never mind, won't be forever. We must have another crack at the bottles again soon.

Krissie, there are often special post natal Pilates classes available - you can take baby with you and they can then sleep / lie / play on a mat next to you and then if you need to feed or change them mid-class, nobody bats an eye. Also good for post- preg specific exercises such as pelvic floor strengthening. I did it after my first and was great. X

Thanks. We do baby yoga which is more for Oliver with just a bit of stretching for the mums. I did look into yoga/pilates classes which focus more on exercises for mums but they didn't quite have the same appeal - I think it's the hour of complete relaxation that I'm craving right now I did some yoga in the living room this morning with the little man giggling in the tree pose which was quite cute. And managed to get an early morning swim Saturday and a run last night after he went to sleep. Those little things make such a big difference
