Mine has definitely never changed to BST in this round. It seems a flaw in how it works given you can scroll through the history of sunset/ sunrise so it should know that an hour needs to be added from a certain day.

Interesting observation (to me at least!) about Garmin's VO2Max vs other data sets for me from this recent mara build up. In 2022, with the same watch hardware etc, my VO2Max at the start of the 12 week P&D was hovering around 52.5, whereas this year it was solidly in the 53.5.

By the Saturday before race week it was at 57 last year, vs 56 this year (the weekend before my week off for a holiday, actually).

So it has progressed less well this year than last, despite pretty similar inputs and objectively race times are pretty similar.

Yet I've run lower beats per mile in the training block (marginally - just 3 beats per mile), slightly slower average pace overall (8:15 vs 8:06) and Runalyze thinks my average VO2Max by it's metrics are about 3 units higher this year than last.

Not entirely sure what to make of that. I know I had some short periods of dodgy data about 4 weeks ago where my watch HRM was giving odd results (unusual for my watch) so perhaps that's overly polluted the Garmin data or the Runalyze data. Last year I placed a lot of faith in the VO2Max number consistently increasing, but there were other differences in training (e.g. more MP miles, more raced miles) which may also have affected the calculations on one or other of the sides.

My VO2 max has been poorer according to Garmin this year despite running better times. I don't weigh myself but don't think I'm materially heavier than last year. Think it may be to do with not doing as many of the type of workouts that Garmin seems to like when boosting vo2 max - it was highest when I was doing a lot of hard (for me) tempos which were probably at or over threshold at times.

I have stopped looking at it as it's a bit off putting to have a "worse" vo2 max than a year or so ago when I've been running similar times. It also loves to delete a point off the day before a race!!

On runalyze my effective and file VO2max are going in opposite directions - but only marginally

I expect a restart will sort but surely it should stick!

Update on mine a couple of days ago and now I’ve lost the suggested training prompt
Any idea where it’s gone?
