It gives you data on your current hill - the grade and how far to peak. Could be very useful for pacing. Are there any more affordable GPS watches / garmins that have that. I have the forerunner 245 which I am very happy with but it has no such elevation feature If the fenix 6s does I have one going cheap 🤣
K5 Gus Jan 2022 3:10pm, 18 Jan 2022 4,906 posts	0 K5 Gus Kieran, think you need to have a barometric altimeter to get Climbpro. The Instinct is currently on sale on the garmin site at £179 and has it. Possibly cheaper elsewhere, also check Vivoactive 4 I think.

Although it only usually gets used for swimming or parkrunning, both of which don't have any significant altitude (around here at least!). Mind you, as a watch it's a bit too clever for it's own good sometimes!

So while I like it to be more accurate than GPS altitude, I'd also like it to not break! VA4 going strong though. At £229 a far cheaper watch than the big models. G
