I have a finger tip sensor that I was using when I had Covid and the numbers were more believable than what the 6x was telling me when I did occasional checks.

jelly (limegreenjelly) Dec 2021 4:33pm, 7 Dec 2021 1,871 posts	0 jelly (limegreenjelly) I've found my battery life is great and it managed a 24 hour race before I even learned about things like disconnecting it from your phone, and I've only got the 6s so smaller than standard, I did quite well because my 235 was just out of warranty and had stopped vibrating intermittently, so they replaced it with a reconditioned one that my husband uses! I hope it's going to last me a few years!

I hope so, but the warranty ran out a couple of months ago so they'd be within their rights to say no. Happy to say Garmin are replacing my out-of-warranty F6X with a refurb FOC. Might have to curb my new shiny desire for the F7 for a bit after that! Latest rumours include UK pricing for some models.I think the Epix Gen 2 is an F7X with AMOLED screen. Pinch of salt probably good with this one reddit.com

Will try running with it and then uploading an activity via plugging it into a laptop tomorrow. One more question though, when I select the "run" option, it pops up a "workout suggestion" before it tries to find GPS Any ideas how to turn that off as it's v annoying...

There may be a way to turn it off while keeping training status on though. On training status widget - Long press left middle button - performance options - Pause training status
