I don’t think it was Wun Wun as he fell at BOB and would have been burned.
I hadn’t realised there was almost no dialogue, which says something about how gripping they made it. The music was awesome.
If you can seek out the behind the scenes footage, it’s about 40 mins long, but the effort they went to to get the effects and the details correct is incredible
Oh yes, I'd forgotten that! He did look very familiar though. I'll look out for the behind the scenes stuff when it's all finished, I worry it might spoil some of the magic while there are still episodes to see.
Cersei could march into Winterfell without a fight. The Dothraki were wiped out in their first charge, the Unsullied are decimated and there's only a few ragtag soldiers left from the North. They do have at least one fully functioning dragon though. Was Jon's dragon killed? I saw in crash land but nothing after.
Watching it a second time, the sparsity of dialogue is very noticeable. There's one meaningful conversation between Sansa and Tyrion, apart from that a few words here and there. For a show built on good dialogue, the lack of words made it very haunting. Beautifully scored as well.
Never saw Arya as the saviour but we should have noticed the way Mellesendri kept looking at her early on that her role would be significant. She finally understood the prophecies and who it was meant for. Now what for Arya?
Wow, that was intense. Watched in complete darkness, still hard to be sure of what was happening sometimes. Several times I thought Brienne was overwhelmed and was done for, apparently not.
Agree with comments re: the score. Put me in mind of Godspeed You Black Emperor's score for 28 Days Later in places.
