Finishing work early on Christmas Eve watch: have you got finishing work early on Christmas Eve?

night shift from 2000hrs till 0930am xmas day...then back in evening till 0930am boxing day..

No. We've always finished at lunch on Christmas Eve. This year we've been told we have to finish at 3. On top of that if you take the day off it counts as a full day's leave instead of half like it always used to.

Miserys.

I'm letting my team skive off after lunch and I'll take the heat when I come back in after Christmas.

You can't really decide to change that just 3 weeks before Christmas, especially when the holiday year ends at the end of the month and people have used it all up because we can't carry any over into the new year.

Yes as I have a 12:00pm appointment with the asthma nurse. Though we normally finish early.

Annual Leave on Christmas Eve as well as 29-30 December. Office closed on 2 January. So last day at work is 23 December until 5 January, only going into work on New Years Eve.
