No I didn’t get the bonus, my own fault for not checking my run had uploaded, still getting a bonus bug with it the day after was priceless 😂

What's the game etiquette for an infected bug that you think isn't reachable? It's possibly reachable on a bike (there's possibly a road inside a car park/industrial estate but it doesn't have a pavement that I can see) but there's no way I can see you can get to it on foot. Can I mark it as unreachable?

Merry Fizzmas :-)
If someone has infected it, then technically it is reachable, but like you say, maybe they did it on a bike and you can’t get there on foot. My personal rule regarding possible unreachable bugs is that I have to try and get as close as I can first, just to be sure they really are unreachable, but your circle, your rules. If you truly can’t reach it then it’s unreachable.

I agree with Fizz. In the past, it was decided that where someone's bug had landed on a main road and was reachable on a bike, but not on foot by the bug owner (e.g. there was no pavement, and the person doesn't cycle) then it was acceptable to mark the bug as inaccessible. Similarly for weather dependent trails - mark as inaccessible in the winter when the trail is a quagmire but remark it as accessible in the dry summer.

My approach to bugs that are technically accessible but in places I really don't want to go (such as the dual carriageway or the middle of a waterlogged field) is to adjust my home point - that causes the bug to move and usually to somewhere 'better'. Downside of that approach, if you have multiple bugs, is that they all move and all have their 'spawned on' date reset.

You can move single bugs that are effectively inaccessible on the day you are looking at them, without permanently marking the spot as inaccessible. To do so:
1 Click on the bug, and, in the bug pane that opens, mark the bug as unreachable.
2 Refresher the browser view.
3 Show the inaccessible spots by clicking on the No Access (bad) icon in the key.
4 Click on the inaccessible spot marker and choose 'Reachable'.
During the winter, you might want to leave spots where bugs were in boggy areas as 'inaccessible'. When the weather improves, you can go through it and clear the now invalid inaccessible marker with your activity trace.

OK, think I'm going to have to try and see if I can reach it then! The original road has been built over as part of a shopping centre so I'll have to see if there is still a remnant of it behind John Lewis. Gives me an excuse to have a look at the sales I guess...
If that doesn't work I'm going to assume that it got infected by someone on the tube as it's suspiciously close to the tracks!

Success! I discovered there's a whole area opened up behind the shopping centre so the bug was accessible after all. Even better I think there will be a new way of getting in/out that's closer to home. Couldn't explore it today as I needed the other exit but it will be great to have a potential new route

That is one of the advantages of Fetchpoint and other Fetch Games - they get you to explore your local, and not so local, areas.

Hi all. Noob Q - Is the One Ring still around or was it moved to it's destination ages ago?
