But no less long winded, I guess.

Yeah, I've always avoided W3W because I can't see the point of it.
Looking at it now, it won't accept Lat/Long coordinates, so I've still got to convert the bug locations to OS grid references, then input that to get a location on their map, which is not as detailed as an OS 1:25k map anyway. And then I don't know if it will work without a phone signal either.

This is the problem. I knew it was round there somewhere.

By saving it as a point (actually a route of 0m) I can now go straight to it even without a signal.

Yup. The latter is what I meant/have done but couldn't remember if it required signal as I tend to use it when away in a city to find my way back somewhere!

I think I've spotted a bug with the bugs.
I cycle commute on late shift, so if I cycle to work on in the evening, I don't upload my ride until I've cycled home the next morning.
I noticed when I deloused my circle with a daytime ride at the weekend that I didn't get the 200 point bonus when I uploaded the ride, but I got it the next day, after the new bug had appeared.
I squished my one and only bug on the way to work last night and my circle was bug free after I uploaded my ride at about 2am.
By 10am, a new bug had appeared, but I hadn't got the 200 point bonus.

This isn't really a problem. It's only a game and I realise I'm probably the only person out logging miles at 2am and I have got an advantage by cycle commuting anyway. If it bothered me, I'd make sure I squished any bugs on the way to work and uploaded the first half of my commute when I got there.

It has to be uploaded on the day to count for the day; sorry! Uploading reasonably soon does help to gain the bonus.

Also, it is better to try to squash the bug on the way out from home, not on the way back; if you miss the bug on the way out, you still have a second go.
The 200 points is always awarded for the next day, but belongs to the day you accrued it. When the day you accrued it disappears from the rolling 30 day log, the 200 points disappears from the following day.

Yes definitely upload soon after your activity. Did a run got 3 or 4 traffic lights and a couple of diamonds. Felt pretty pleased with myself. 4hours later when I uploaded it, not only had I lost them all, but salt was rubbed into the wound when I had to pay congestion charges.

I still dream about what might have been!

Pale Skinny Vegan, I am in the US on east coast time and need to log my run before 7pm to get my bug free bonus; it’s a feature, not a bug 🙃

1) The scoreboard and markers don't 'reset' on the first of the month any more. They work on a rolling 30 day system.
2) You only need to worry about red bugs.
