I think I have to agree with FL and Rosehip. I took a break from FetchPoint as I wanted a bit more freedom to pick routes I particularly enjoy - I'd quite fancy heading in one direction then my bug would be the opposite way, and some of the roads I enjoyed running regularly started getting blocked by traffic lights as I'm generally an evening runner so would miss them. I definitely don't play competitively (and don't want to), but I also don't want to give away loads of points, so I suspect this will put me off coming back.

kstuart - in the early days, yes. Back when people were able to buy their own and place them strategically to gain a return - not been like that for a long time but could be a reasonable rule to reintroduce

They were weekday only when you could buy them, ks, but now they appear randomly.

As a caveat, most of the time I’m not actively playing the fetch games. I run my planned route regardless, and afterwards have a look to see how it has affected my score.

Not for those of us with no neighbours they don't alas. Doesn't actually refer to that on the game guide but probably should if that is how they generate.
Been having to mark inaccessible alot since the changes a few weeks back too but it's slowly filling in the fields. Just need to get down some roads/paths to see how many are outside the range of them. I know some are but was intending to clear it up only after i had been down them.
