I keep meaning to pop by but fail... welcome back from a lovely sounding holiday in Madeira Non-runner and not long to the next! fab! Glad you're start to feel better GOTD and you too Shades, 2 bouts of covid is vicious. I have been struggling with (lots of and intense) work stress but (fingers crossed) it seems to be becoming resolved (personality issues with my colleague) and its felt a lot better the last week. Its amazing the difference this has had on my mental & physical health and its only the last few days I am really noticing the difference. I have been back on eating better and putting in more focus on the 30 (?) plants a week and slowly remembering different meals to cook. I am gutted that what I thought was my weight was in fact 5lb heavier but I am starting to see the scales move downwards (way more slower than the move upwards!) Its 3 weeks until our holiday, I have to be honest and say I can see me making any huge headway into what I weight so I will just deal with it when I'm back - but I do have to say I am not too upset how I look and my clothes all still fit well so maybe focusing on that number on the scales is not really that important. But I can definitely make some improvement overall. Nice to see you all |

Also popping by after a while. I've been forgetting to step on the scales and my weight hasn't changed much, but fat % is down and muscle % is up, and I've lost a bit more off my belly, so I'm happy with that. I've been about the same weight since August, which is a good 10kg less than I was as the start of the year. The Zoe healthy eating plan along with Mr S doing it has completely changed my diet, so it feels a lot healthier. I should get my retest results back soon, so it will be interesting to see if I've improved my gut health. I started having to go into the office three days a week in June, which has limited my exercise time, especially now it's dark early in the mornings. I should get that time back with a job move by the end of the year ![]() |

I agree with Shades, you need to look after you at the moment Lizzie, sending hugs. Sounds like great progress Scribbs!! And the new job will hopefully add an extra spring in your step too. |

Non-runner - very quiet in here, but I've not been able to find time to pop in lately either (see below for my latest update). GetOutTheDoor - hope you can get back into it soon. Shades - glad you're managing to get back into your normal routine post-covid. GeordieGirl - hope for your sake, the work stress abates. Good luck maintaining your weight until your holiday (which probably won't help!). LizzieW - hope whatever is causing the comfort eating resolves itself soon. The Scribbler - good to hear about the less fat% and more muscle% - and good luck with that possible job move later this year. A small gain for me this week - still not quite got that trend line going downwards but at least it seems to have flattened out now rather than going up! Like to think my restarting brisk morning walks and not eating too many 'naughties' will help me turn the corner soon. |

The holiday will be a lot of walking/hiking so hoping that will balance out any excesses - although from experience the food in Hong Kong is pretty healthy. Hope you are soon back out pounding the pavements Mel. I have made a veggie curry for tea, it was tasting very nice when I was downstairs earlier. |

It’s quite a difficult time of year (plenty of sweet feats to avoid tonight and Bonfire Night) and life keeps getting in the way, but as they say, one day at a time.

@geordiegirl - when I've been on walking holidays with HF, I never lose weight as they do such nice food ![]() @Non-runner - you've just reminded me it's Halloween. Luckily, we're set back from the road and don't have many young children nearby and most that are in the area, can't be bothered to walk up the drive. Sadly for them if they do knock on the door, it will be a wasted journey ![]() Mr Fetch will no doubt ask you to request a feature like editing so it can be voted on .. |
