Morning people. I'm not in a good place. I was poorly recently for about 10 days and did loads of comfort-eating, putting on about 5 lbs. I've been better for about 10 days but can't get my head back into gear to lose it again. I know it's only 5 lbs and it's not the end of the world but I feel crap about myself because I just keep eating.

Big hugs Sarah - try not to beat yourself up as this in turn will make you feel cr@p which will resort in more comfort eating and the vicious circle continues. You can do this - draw a line in the sand and step over it to a new day. Be kind to yourself xxx

I weighed in this morning and scales showed +2. I am putting it down as water retention!! Hopefully next Monday will prove me right 🤞

I weighed this morning and it wasn't pleasant! But probably the kick I needed. I've joined a local gym so I'm more focused on exercise now, plus I started running again at the weekend. Turning intentions into action seems more possible now that it did earlier in the year.
SarahWoo, WP is absoutely right and giving you the advice you'd give to others - be kind to yourself, beating yourself up about it is not going to help at all. It's just a blip and you will get back on track.

Hugs, SW. If it went on, it will come off. I know what you mean about not having your head in the right place. It seems so easy at times then we revert to old habits and wonder how we did it, but The Zone will return x

Sarah, I understand what you're saying but please don't feel too downhearted about what's happened. You can, and will, get back into the right frame of mind because you've done it before.
I weighed yesterday and was definitely down a half a pound in last week. This is very good news because I've had a week of adding starchy carbs in the form of a ciabatta roll at lunchtime. This has had the desired effect of sorting out the giddiness when I get up from sitting down, and my persistently cold hands.

SW as they say don't beat yourself up. It will slot back into place again.
I am up 4lb too..new scales ordered and arrived today- bet my old ones aren't wrong as everyone who uses them tells me 😂
I should be able to start running again next week (if toe allows) plus will have a lot more time on my hands soon to get more active 😁

My new scales are very smart and Bluetooth and tell me I am very overweight but do weigh less than my old ones - will see what they say in the morning which is when I normally weigh
