I was wondering whether it might work well if we had a Zoom quiz one time? A massive group might be tricky if everyone was all talking at once (we did a family one with 9 people across 5 screens, and that felt like enough), but perhaps if it was some sort of Q&A, that might work. Any thoughts on that?
If it's more than 10 or so it definitely needs "mediating". We are doing team meetings at work on MS Teams, and for quizzes etc. esp where there is a question being read out or a music clip i.e. audio, you need folk to shut the f up! Of course, the host can mute everyone temporarily, and/or good etiquette etc.
Visual things work well - we do a Pictionary, which is hilarious (a free web white board app works perfectly for that) and powerpoint based visual things like movie posters, sweet wrappers etc.
Most of these apps have a text chat section too - so that can work for throwing in answers and just leave the video / audio as a free for all for everyone to have a laugh.
Not *quite* sure we'd get that many phal. How many listen to podcast, do we know? And how many actively chat on forums (Fetch must know). 1,000? I'd be amazed if we could get 100 to turn up at any one time. It can def cope with that. G
I've run a Model Arctic Council with 30 students online simultaneously. They rocked it. However, if we have 100 fetchies all wanting to say their piece, it might take a bit too long...

Fetch - you up for ensemble Zoom based podcast? Send out fmail / email as well as new thread etc and ad on home page to drum up numbers.
Worst that happens, tech fails us and we don't all connect. Middle, it's a total stramash and a stooshie, but a bit of fun. Best, we all get to say hi, enjoy each other's company and you get a podcast for the sake of an hour's noodling around?! G
That's a great place for reflection! I used to walk along Thurso beach and gather my thoughts. I'm not near a proper beach now, unfortunately, but I do have a fabulous fjörd so cannot complain.

Contributors We love getting contributions. Here's how:
1) find somewhere with minimal background noise 2) recording on a smartphone is fine 3) start with "Hello Fetchies, it's..." 4) a couple of minutes is a good length 5) don't worry about ums, aahs and pauses. We can edit them out. 6) email the file to podcast@fetcheveryone.com
