Off Roader and I went through Stonehenge today. I did suggest we actually went there and ran or walked round it. The reply was short. "Salisbury and Stonehenge at Easter?"
I took that as a no, so we did a walk from home.
And instead of Streetview images, here's some real ones from the last time I was there. (it was a Neolithic run day)

And Arthur Pendragon. The one the arrow is pointing to.

And surprisingly 9 years ago. We're not making great use of our English Heritage sub!

Next on my personal photo collection is Longleat ...
Now, if only there was someone offering tea, or even dinner & B&B near Shrewton ...

um That 1st photo of yours, the sign, reminds me of this one used as target practice by Norwegian locals ;-)

Perhaps the threat of being targeted has spurred me on. In the first 8 days of this Challenge I had travelled only 6.5 miles, but in the next 4 days, up to and including today, I have covered a further 26.5 miles, giving me a total of 33.0 miles. At that recent rate I should complete the remaining 17.7 miles in the next 3 days to reach CP1 Stonehenge just ahead of Darwin and retain the gold star. :-p

Love the Chinook in the shot, at least that solves the mystery of how they got the stones there ;-)

Just shy of 50k on the bike this morning takes me ahead of Trouble, and past CP1 Philadelphia.
Still a few miles short of Stonehenge, but at least I'm ahead of Darwin for now.

Should have walked a bit further this morning - I finished on 97.5 miles and Checkpoint 2 is 97.6. I seem to having a little sit-down at the foot of Glastonbury Tor.
